Jeff Reed — Senior Pastor

Jeff Reed has served the local church since 1989 both as a Worship Pastor and a Senior/Lead Pastor. Most recently he served as the Lead Pastor of Hillside Covenant Church in Walnut Creek, CA.  Jeff received his BA in English from Westmont College, his M.Div. from Western Seminary in Portland, and his D.Min. from Fuller Theological Seminary.  He is an avid poetry fan and maintains a poetry blog at windinthereeds.com.  He has been married to Susan for 35 years, and together they have three grown married children (no grandchildren yet!) Scrabble, trail blazing, and chocolate chip cookies are among his signature delights.

Dave Shelton — Pastor of Congregational Care

Dave Shelton and his wife Patty have three adult children: LeeAnne, Alyssa and Dane. Dave has attended Highland Covenant Church his entire life. He loves the people at Highland and their commitment to Jesus Christ, evidenced not only in service to each other, but to community near and far. Dave enjoys football and baseball, reading, music, fishing and traveling.

Andrea Nelson — Highland Christian School Director

Andrea enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, and her two children, Kyle and Emilie.  She has lived in the Seattle area her entire life, and enjoys going to musicals, sporting events, swimming/snorkeling and Disney vacations.   She is excited to serve the children and their families in the Highland community.

Tony Mullin — Worship Music Coordinator

Tony has been at Highland directing music since 2008. He finds joy in creating music and working with a such diverse group of personalities on the worship team. He also plays piano for local retirement homes. He enjoys spending time with friends and family over coffee, and listening to Coldplay, Whiteheart, and Rush.

Carol Lider — Community Nurse

Carol has been attending Highland since 1994. She graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She has experience in Cardiac, Neonatal and Home Health Care. After taking time out from nursing to raise their boys Carol is looking forward to a new role. She believes strongly in the connection between faith and health and is excited to explore that with others. She has been married to Kirk for 30 years. They have three grown sons, Josh (married to Camille), Matt and Chris. Her hobbies include reading, skiing, hiking, cooking, traveling and being with family and friends.

Louise Conner — Church Administrator

Louise has been part of Highland since 2004. She and her husband, Craig, have three adult children: Abby, Rebecca and Timothy. She loves the way the Highland community worships, learns and serves together and enjoys her role in the church office. Louise also likes to write, hike, read a wide variety of books, and watch her kids do the things they love to do.
