India Republic Day Celebration — February 6
Step into a new experience! Highland Covenant is hosting a special event to help our neighbors in the Crossroads area celebrate. Our India Republic Day celebration is planned for Saturday, February 6 at 3 p.m. in the gym. Flag hoisting and singing of the Indian national anthem will begin at 4 p.m. followed by a cricket game and races. Traditional Indian snacks will be served. Be there right at 3 p.m. for a quick lesson on how to play cricket. Also, please sign up after the Sunday service, if you would like to volunteer to help with races and crowd control. Put on your hospitality shoes and prepare for a unique cultural experience! Questions? Talk to Holly Bustad or Richard Lewis.
Clothing Drive
If you have gently used adult size clothing and shoes to donate, please bring them to the church office. Highland will deliver these items to Seattle First Covenant Church for distribution to the homeless community the last Saturday of September and October. Large size clothing and coats are particularly appreciated as these folks need to dress in layers to stay warm during the fall and winter months. If you have questions please call Dave Shelton at 425.420.8946.
Cascade Camp is accepting registrations
Cascade Camp is accepting registrations for next summer's all new programs (including 17 week-long activity options) at Camp Timber Rock, Sunrise Ranch & Brightwood Station. Shoebox Update
Last year’s confirmation class invited the congregation to fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. The time has come for this year’s collection, and so last week our 23 boxes were given to the distribution center that will send them overseas to deliver to children around the world. Thank you to those who participated.
