Pastor James Amadon
Pastor James and his family (wife Emily, daughter Mary, and son Luke) came to Highland in January of 2008. James loves Highland and has been impressed with how the congregation welcomes new people and seeks to serve the local community. James also loves to play basketball and soccer, listen to U2, read a good book, have fun with others, and explore the big questions of life.
Grace Lee

Grace Lee — Administrative Assistant

Grace feels very blessed to be a part of the Highland family, serving the people at Highland as well as the community.  She enjoys reading, baking, trying out new recipes, collecting cookbooks and watching movies with her husband and two kids.

Sue Peterson Sue Peterson — Highland Christian School Director
Sue is the director of Highland Christian School and also the kindergarten teacher. She loves working with her awesome staff and developing relationships with the children and families of the school. Sue is married, the mother of two married sons and grandma to Cole. Quilting, gardening, exploring God's beautiful outdoors and reading are her favorite spare time activities.
Tony Mullin

Tony Mullin — Worship Music Coordinator

Tony lives in Renton, and has been involved in church music since high school.  He graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a BA in music theory and composition, and teaches piano lessons. He has been attending Highland for nearly 3 years, and has been leading worship for roughly half that time. Tony feels blessed to have this opportunity to work with such a wonderful congregation and worship team.  Other things that brings him great joy is Starbucks, great music, and great conversation.  Simultaneously whenever possible.

dave shelton Dave Shelton — Pastor of Congregational Care
Pastor Dave Shelton and his wife Patty have three adult children: LeeAnne, Alyssa and Dane. Dave has attended Highland Covenant Church his entire life. He loves the people at Highland and their commitment to Jesus Christ, evidenced not only in service to each other, but to community near and far. Dave enjoys football and baseball, reading (a necessary passion for seminary) music, fishing and traveling.
